The World’s Fastest

Velocity, the world’s fastest RibRide!

*IMPORTANT CUSTOMER INFORMATION*

Due to recent regulatory changes within the fast RIB industry which affect our ability to carry passengers at high speed, we are currently unable to operate our Velocity RIB. We pride ourselves on being the best and feel it is unfair to continue to offer these tours while not being able to fully demonstrate the potential of this record-breaking boat. We are working proactively to mitigate and adapt to these changes. However until we can bring Velocity back in it’s high speed form, we have chosen to also close all Velocity bookings.

Customers with bookings and vouchers for Velocity will be contacted in due course and offered alternatives.

What to expect

Velocity is ready… Are you?

Join us for a heart pumping experience as you take to the water onboard the world’s fastest passenger RIB and holder of the Round Anglesey Record. Designed around a powerboat racing hull Velocity has been adapted to carry passengers safely at high speed.

After getting kitted up with life jackets and eye protection you will have an extended safety briefing before boarding the sleek RIB and departing the pontoon.

Once you are clear of the pontoon and the boat has been prepared, your highly experienced Skipper will open up the throttles (there are three of them!) and you’ll be off for a 30 minute high speed blast. Just make sure your feet are placed firmly on the deck and you are holding on tight as you feel the full force of nature in your face.

There is no set route for Velocity as the Skippers will travel to the safest areas on the Menai Strait. They will then take Velocity to the fastest speeds possible, allowed by the conditions on the day.

Good to know

We aim to keep you dry but this is a boat trip and in some conditions you may get a bit wet so please wear appropriate clothing for both the RibRide and the weather!

Due to speed of Velocity, it is considerably cooler onboard her than our other RIBS, so we recommend lots of layers including a waterproof layer and sensible shoes. In the colder months, hats, gloves and scarves are strongly advised. Goggles are provided to protect you from the wind, however you may bring your own eye protection, but please make sure they are well secured.

You are required to hold on for the duration of the trip so please do not bring any bags onboard as these cannot be secured. Phones can be taken onboard but they must be secured in a zipped pocket.

RibRide is happy to welcome customers of any ability, however RIB tours are a physical activity. If you have medical concerns, please contact our office for advice and guidance.

Life jackets are mandatory and provided by RibRide.

If you are pregnant, we generally advise against participating on a RibRide, as trips can be a bit bumpy in certain conditions. If you do want to go out, we would ask that you consult with your doctor or midwife beforehand and consider booking this trip as a private event so we can tailor the trip to better suit your situation and the weather conditions on the day.

Velocity can hold a maximum of 12 passengers.

We love our furry friends but sadly no dogs are allowed on our trips.
