Across Wales and Europe, Blue Flag is a badge of trust.  It is a contract between a county, its residents and its visitors. Blue Flags deliver a clean and safe environment and promote the highest values.

Skipper Phil says:
“Blue Flag is a signal of sustainability, whether we are a beach or a boat – but what does sustainability mean to a tourist, a business or a local authority? Blue Flag is an acknowledgement of what goes on behind the scenes not only to help deliver this message, but validate its authenticity.”

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the global Blue Flag programme, which is owned by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). For three decades, Blue Flag has had a transformational impact on water quality, environmental awareness, management and services. The programme has developed to include marinas and boat tour operators. There are now more than 4,000 award-winning sites in nearly 50 countries.

Skipper Phil says:
“We work hard to reduce our environmental impact with efficient systems, good training, good equipment and listening to good advice.
Our economic approach is not to skimp on important things. We charge reasonable rates, are honest with customers and pay staff well. It is fantastic to among the first Blue Flag marine operators in Europe. We are looking forward to sustaining the award for many years to come.”
